My students sometimes just need a quick reminder on a complex topic. Especially with comparisons, vectors vs. scalar quantities, and various different laws and theories. There is a lot to remember in physics!

Having eye catching graphics up around the classroom can help students remember the exact information they need. Maybe on a test a student will find themselves thinking "alright... distance versus displacement.... I remember seeing this on a green poster... that's right! Distance is total length traveled!"
If you are worried that having these posters up means that students are "cheating" on assessments, I encourage you to slow down your thinking. I keep my posters on my cabinets at the back of the room, so students would actively need to be turning around to look and then squinting their eyes to see, they just don't do that. It's too much effort. Also having certain resources available isn't cheating. After all, we live in the day and age where you can literally google anything. Could be how you even found this post!
Interesting in seeing more of my posters? You can see these long for posters on my Pinterest account and I have a classroom set of 8.5 x 11 physics posters for sale in my teachers pay teachers store here.
